Our Germanica Top 10 today is an interview with Jeremy Ryan Slate on the Julian Dorey Daily YouTube channel entitled 'If You Think the Vatican Controls History You Need to Watch This Jeremy Ryan Slate'.
This content discusses the five phase government life cycle originally described by Plato as a decline from the ideal to the worst. Those five phases were aristocracy, timocracy, oligarchy, democracy and tyranny.
While analogies between modern times and the Roman empire are often overdone, there is a reason these references occur - because there is nothing really new in the history of mankind. Those who think that we cannot learn from the past are naive. The notion that 'this time is different' is rarely true. Most political phenomena repeat, and a failure to heed history's lessons is a formula for failure.
Most genuine students of history would agree that the West is in late stage democracy where unwise decisions are being made for society as a whole by brainwashed masses (influenced by unwise and corrupt elites) in order to placate those masses with socialism (resulting in moral and monetary collapse). As we contemplate our future, let us not forget that the next phase, unless we change course, is tyranny.
